Forty Years, Forty Artifacts

Housed in the town's 1881 schoolhouse the Lyons Redstone Museum opened to the public in 1979. 2019 brings the 40th Anniversary of operation and an opportunity to celebrate the history of Lyons as told through the stories of 40 artifacts. The exhibit comprised of objects, photographs, and documents shows the depth and breadth of the museum’s collections. 
​Several items on display, such as the Long's Peak Road Map and the 1891-1910 Police Register are on display for the first time.
